Hide was a printmaker who included flowers and (or) birds in more than ten of his woodblock prints. Eighteen examples are shown in this gallery. Click on a picture to enlarge it. Hide was one of the leading contributors to the Sosaku Hanga (i.e., Creative Print) school of Japanese printmaking. He used his imagination when drawing the shapes and coloring his picture subjects.
